The Recycle Site located at Pine and Washington St. will re-open on Monday, October 29th.
In order for the site to remain open, those using the site are required to enforce the following rules:
ABSOLUTELY NO TRASH OR GARBAGE IS TO BE PLACED IN ANY CONTAINER ON THIS SIGHT!
The site is open for those living within the CITY LIMITS OF WARRENSBURG ONLY, county residents are not allowed to use the site.
Small limbs, grass clippings, and leaves are the only items allowed to be disposed of in the provided compost container.
Contractors consisting of lawn service companies, landscapers, handy men, etc. are not allowed to use the compost container, this is considered profiteering of a free public service.
All compost materials, limbs, leaves, and grass clippings are to be placed in the container and not on the concrete slab in front of the container.
If any of the containers being the compost or the recyclable containers are full, do not place items on the ground but rather return at a later time to properly dispose of the items. Normally the compost container is dumped twice a week.
Should the brush and recycle containers become over filled, and items are placed on the ground, the site will be closed until it can be cleaned which may take some period of time due to staff work schedules.
ALL USERS ARE REMINDED THAT THIS SERVICE IS BEING PROVIDED FREE OF COST TO THE RESIDENTS OF WARRENSBURG BY HEARTLAND WASTE.
THE COST OF OPERATING THIS SERVICE IS NOT BEING SUPPORTED THROUGH ANY FUNDING FROM THE CITY.
CITY MANPOWER HOURS INVOLVING THE CLEANUP OF ILLICIT DUMPING ON THIS SITE HAS BEEN COSTLY FOR THE CITY.
IF ABUSE OF THIS FREE SERVICE CONTINUES IT WILL RESULT IN THE PERMANENT CLOSURE OF THE SITE.
